Doodle Booth – Creative Freedom Classes

“I loved the exercises and it’s been a healing time — the time went to fast! I so enjoyed being open and genuine!”
~ A.C., Austin, TX

Check out this story on CBS Sunday Morning about The Higher Purpose of Doodling!

Creativity can solve almost any problem. The creative act, the defeat of habit by originality, overcomes everything.

“A great big thank you to everyone. It was truly an eye opener
to the possibilities that lie in a few pencils and a piece of paper.
A perfect prompter, Carin helped me dig a little deeper.”

“For me, Doodling with Carin opens up different parts of the mind . . . If you don’t think of yourself as particularly artistic, as I don’t, it puts you on speaking terms with creativity that you may not know was there. You get to view yourself and others in a new, albeit crazy way. Plus it’s a laugh riot! ” – JT, California

WHAT TO BRING: Something to draw on. Any paper will do. And your favorite doodling tools. Don’t have any? A simple pen and/or pencil will do. If you have markers and colored pencils and crayons, bring ’em!

YOU WILL NEED:  An internet connection, a camera and a microphone for on-line classes. And your willingness to play. Be sure to bring that!

For “grown ups” CEUs are available for LPCs and social workers in Texas. Contact me ( to organize a CEU session for your organization or a private session for you!

Do you live in a different state, want to host a Creative Freedom class, and need CEUs? Contact me, and I’ll look into certification in your state.

You, too, can doodle pictures of your teacher (that’s me!) like one student did in the last class:

Here’s more feedback:

* Scrumptious! Sooo much fun!

* Very rewarding! So much more than CEUs.

* Excited to use these techniques with my clients in session or on my own to help center myself between appointments.

About Creative Freedom Classes:

Through direct experience, I have come to know the benefits of using writing and visual arts in therapeutic ways. Whether you want to access your creative muse or whether you want to give freedom to all of your feelings, I encourage therapeutic creative exercises, 100%.

We practice techniques to put words to that which we have been reluctant yet eager to express, and we will use visual arts to paint a picture of life that’s fully allowed and welcomed.

Practical and fresh skills to use in therapy and in life.

Thank you for you shining presence! My appreciation to you! And as from one artist to another … do you have on-line group doodling sessions? I’d love to bath in collective braintormings … and spread the joy, the word, the doodlings … I remember reading a book, I think you should be in this book:
